One + One Already Not Alone Charity Foundation
This charity foundation is dedicated to supporting civilians displaced by the war. As Russia advances and its drone reach further in to Ukraine, more people are evacuated, usually reluctantly. These are often elderly or ill people and are often distressed, homeless and have few possessions. The charity is based in Dnipro and provides housing, warmth and support (food, information, contacting families, psychological and medical therapy). The demand is increasing.
The team is led by Nika. Nightingales Uk provides some medical aid- for example medicines for long term conditions such as diabetes or heart disease.
The charity foundation receives our cars and hands them over to military medics. There is a complex process of paperwork to allow this handover. The photograph shows Nika on the right and other members of her team giving the Nissan Trojan pick up to a senior military medic (the man to the right in brown uniform) in December 2025.
We have worked with Nika for three years. With her help we have developed a slick system which avoids many of the pitfalls of bringing aid and cars into the Ukraine and delivering them swiftly to where they needed. Nika and her team have links to other organisations such as shelters and children’s homes and when we can, we provide aid for them too.
